Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a process of tapping on meridian endpoints. It was discovered by Dr. Roger Callahan in the 1980s in Southern California, and it works on the principal that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system. It’s very effective for stress release, weight loss, cravings, negative emotions and thoughts, phobias, fears, negative beliefs, pain, headaches, and a variety of other problems.
Did you know that 75% of real physical pain is exacerbated by emotions? Unresolved negative emotions can contribute to the body’s pain; emotions left untreated can have profound negative effects on our bodies.
Quite simply, EFT works by tapping on the endpoints of the body’s energy meridians (see the chart up right) while tuning in to the problem by speaking phrases that represent it. It’s easy to do, yet extraordinary in its results.
I’ve used EFT quite effectively on myself and with my clients. It makes a perfect adjunct to Hypnotherapy. It’s truly remarkable what this uncomplicated, straightforward process can do for you.

If it seems you’re not getting a response:
1. Drink water. Water conducts energy, and it works the same way inside your body. Take a glass before you start and have another to sip throughout.
2. Reassess your statements. Can you make them more specific to what you’re going through at this moment?
3. Tap on the opposite. “Even though I have this problem, and I don’t want to get rid of it, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.” This allows your subconscious mind to feel heard and will make it more likely to cooperate.
4. Come see me for a few sessions! There are things your subconscious will say during this process that you might not hear. I will pick up on them and incorporate them into the tapping to your best advantage.
